FEDIR IEPIFANOV

Fedir Iepifanov was the fencing Champion of Ukraine and a member of the National Olympic team. He was only 18 when the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine began. 

In the first days of it, he changed his foil to a machine gun – he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On the battlefield, he defended the country as bravely as on the fencing piste. 

He was killed in battle at the age of 19.
