MAKSYM HALINICHEV

Maksym Halinichev was a boxer, a European youth boxing champion, and a silver medalist in the 2018 Youth Olympics. His biggest dream was to represent Ukraine at the Olympic Games, but when the full-scale Russian invasion began, he said:

“Boxing will happen after the victory. I already stood on podiums in other countries, listening to Ukraine’s national anthem. Now, I have to defend my country and my loved ones”.

Maksym joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and was killed fighting for his country at the age of 22.
