MYKOLA ZHYDKOV

Mykola Zhydkov was a football player. Since 2018, Mykola had lived in Poland, where he later started playing for a local football club Węgrzcanka Węgrzce Wielkie. When the full-scale Russian invasion began, he said:

“How can I stay away while there is a war that will determine the future of the country I want to live in?”.

He left Poland and his promising sports prospects to return to Ukraine and fight for its freedom. Mykola was fatally injured during a Russian artillery shelling and died at the age of 22.
