The film ‘Brothers legend’ dedicated to Klitschko brothers will appear on screens in April 2022. Sylvester Stallone, its director and scriptwriter, hoped to start shooting last autumn, but the initial plan was revised due to pandemic.
The Hollywood star has long stayed a big fan of the legendary Klitschko brothers and even visited several fights. In 2009, he supported Vitali in Los Angeles, and in 2012, it was Wladimir’s duel in Hamburg. Certainly, the glory was on the Ukrainian side in both fights, not only because Mr. Stallone is a lucky charm himself!
Actually, Wladimir Klitschko has a successful film career as well, starring in high-grossing films more than once, generally as a cameo. The greatest one to mention is ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ with George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts. One of the scenes depicts a duel between Wladimir Klitschko from Ukraine and Lennox Lewis from the USA – only around 15 seconds filmed in 20 takes. It was a good start of the would-be boxing rivalry, and Lewis considered the premiere a top teaser before the real fight. Some say Wladimir could even play a bad guy in the James Bond series and ‘Terminator’.
