Some fantastic news on April 12, International Day of Human Space Flight! Firefly Aerospace was chosen by NASA to create a vehicle for delivering satellites and instruments into space, and reaching the moon orbit. Its launch is scheduled for 2022.

Firefly Aerospace is a private aerospace company with a head office in Austin, USA. In 2018, the company was bought and relaunched by Ukrainian Max Polyakov. The main goal of the company is to reduce costs for space exploration and thus make it more accessible to universities and small companies. It has also a Research and development (R&D) center in the city of Dnipro, Ukraine, equipped with the largest 3D printer in the country for the construction of high-quality metal parts.

Actually, it not the first case when a company with Ukrainian roots supports NASA missions. In November 2018, NASA selected Firefly Aerospace for its moon exploration program with a total budget of $2.6 billion.
