A group of Japanese artists launched a Worldflags project where they depict countries as samurai warriors. Before designing characters, the artists make a deep research on the countries’ culture, symbols and colours.

So, no coincidence that Ukrainian samurai has a trident in his hand, comes from Kyiv, wears blue-yellow clothes and is named after our legendary Shevchenko.
