DO I NEED A VISA TO VISIT UKRAINE?

Citizens of EU and EEA countries, as well as citizens of the USA, Canada, the UK, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Oman, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and other countries — in total 87 countries — do not need a visa to enter Ukraine as tourists.

Citizens of 52+ countries can apply for an e-visa.

TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS IN UKRAINE

Please review the following to understand whether a PCR test or vaccination passport/certificate is required for your visit to Ukraine. 
As of June 23, 2021, all foreign citizens entering Ukraine need to have one of the following documents:

• insurance with COVID-19 treatment and observation coverage issued by an International company or Ukrainian company with a representative in Ukraine;
• a document that confirms that the visitor has had the full course of vaccination against COVID-19 (with a vaccine approved by WHO);
• a negative rapid test for the SARS-CoV-2 antigen (RAT, Ag), conducted within 72 hours of your planned arrival time in Ukraine;
• a negative PCR test result, conducted within 72 hours preceding your arrival time in Ukraine.

PLEASE NOTE! From July 2, 2021, all foreign citizens, citizens of Ukraine, holders of a permanent or temporary residence permit, and stateless persons who arrive from India, the United Kingdom, Russia, or Portugal or have been in one of these territories for more than 7 days during the past 14 days,  are required to undergo a rapid test on arrival to determine the antigen of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus at checkpoints (control points) across the state border of Ukraine.

WHERE TO STAY IN UKRAINE

TRAVEL IN UKRAINE 

Convenient domestic flights and trains (both overnight and fast day-trains) provide a comprehensive network of connections between Ukraine’s cities and allow the traveler easy access to all parts of the country. 

Ukrainian International Airlines (UIA), SkyUp, and Windrose conduct domestic flights between Ukraine’s major cities, so it’s more than easy to visit Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia.

As for the trains in Ukraine, you can book train tickets online, in English by visiting the Ukrainian Railways website.

Another option is to rent a car and explore Ukraine by road. Major international car rental services are present in Ukraine, such as Hertz, Europcar, Sixt, Avis, and others.
